Taylor Hicks: The New Michael McDonald?

On American Idol last night, Paula Abdul compared contestant Taylor Hicks to Michael McDonald. I can kinda' see where she's coming from. Taylor's hair has gone prematurely gray similar to the way Michael's hair went gray and then on to the silvery white we know and love today. And, they both have very soulful voices. I took out my "Best of Michael McDonald" CD today and have been listening to it non-stop. I think Taylor Hicks and contestant Paris Bennett should do the duet "On My Own" that Michael McDonald originally did with Patti Labelle. That would be soooo sweet.
